Mariah Carey's love of sky-high heels nearly ended in disaster when she tripped while walking on to The Jay Leno show. To make matters worse, the singer nearly fell out of her low-cut dress on national television.

Mariah did her best to laugh off the embarrassing trip, telling the audience: "You know when I tripped, I had choreographed that earlier.

"It was a plan to make Jay nervous that he was going to get sued. This is what happened backstage, my strap came loose," she said, pointing to a wobbly strap on her black stilettos. "This is the cause of the whole thing."
