Russell BrandTry and fight it but there's something we love about a bad boy. Whether they're a little wayward when it comes to abiding by the rules or they've wooed more ladies than Casanova, we can't get enough of them.

The best are the ones who get away with it, the naughty scamps who get up to no good and grin their way through arrests and court appearances with a little glint in their eye.

We countdown our top 15 lusty lawbreakers and lotharios.

Best of Bond and Bond villains

    8. Timothy Dalton
Brooding and serious more like the James Bond we see Daniel Craig playing now than the cheeky, innuendo dropping Roger Moore. And oooh, those eyes!

    7. Toby Stephens
More recently we swooned at him as Mr Rochester in the BBC adaptation of Jane Eyre but he made for a fabulous sword-wielding villain in Die Another Day too.

    6. Roger Moore
Both loved and hated for his roguish interpretation of the world's best-known secret agent. We of course think he's divine.

    5. Christopher Walken
Great actor, rubbish film but we don't hold that against him. As Max Zorin in a View to a Kill he does play an axe-wielding maniac with a certain sexy je ne sais quoi.

    4. Sean Bean
We love a nemesis, especially a good boy turned bad and he wears a rather large facial scar particularly well in Goldeneye.

    3. Pierce Brosnan
Apparently the Bond that most men would like to be. Yep, we can see why.

    2. Daniel Craig
If only there were 2 topspots! The modern day Bond, pouty and blond makes us giddy with his smouldering looks especially when he emerges dripping wet from the sea!

    1. Sean Connery
We couldn't give first place to anyone else. The voice was the clincher and never have we wanted to be a secretary more than when this Bond drools 'Moneypenny'. The original and the best.
